When you use the website, we may also automatically collect limited technical information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, actions taken, referring pages or websites, dates and times of visits, and security, diagnostic, or error information. We may also receive limited information from a member who referred you, from professional or publicly available sources used to verify information you submitted, or from a service provider helping us operate the membership process.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account numbers, passwords, tax returns, brokerage statements, or other highly sensitive documents through the website unless we specifically provide a secure process for doing so.

We may use personal information primarily to review membership requests, assess eligibility, fit, and related operational review needs, verify information provided in a request, communicate about request status and next steps, operate and administer the member area, provide access to partnership information, events, educational materials, and other resources, answer questions, coordinate events and Cohort activities, and facilitate an introduction when you explicitly request or authorize one.

Submitting a membership request does not create an advisory relationship, guarantee membership, or authorize us to share your information with a partner firm.

We may disclose personal information to service providers that process it on our behalf and help us operate The Cohort. These providers may support website hosting and content delivery, form processing and database storage, email delivery and communications, membership or customer-relationship management, authentication and account security, productivity tooling, and legal, compliance, accounting, or other professional services.

We do not disclose personal information of members or applicants to partner firms merely because they visit, apply to, or join The Cohort. If a member or applicant explicitly requests or authorizes an introduction, we may provide the selected partner firm with the contact information and other information identified in the introduction request. The confirmation shown before the request is submitted will explain the authorization.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; respond to an authorized government request; protect the security, rights, property, or safety of Built For Disruption, LLC, The Cohort, our members and applicants, or others; investigate fraud, security incidents, misuse, or violations of applicable terms; or complete a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections. We may also disclose personal information in another manner when you direct us to do so or give us permission.

The Cohort does not sell personal information or use or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
